The Reason Why
Wunderkind: a state of art dispatcher
choose: Flexible | Expandeble | Secure | Ease to operate | Easy to manage
Wunderkind is largely infrastructure independent. It uses the Application Programming Interfaces (API) of the TETRA system it shall be interconnected to. Therefore, by plain exchange of the API module Wunderkind connects to different TETRA systems.
The available TETRA systems are:
Damm Cellular Systems
Tetraflex
7.30 / 7.30
Rohde&Schwarz PMR
ACCESSNET-T
PV 5.0 / 6.00
UTOD
Una, Nova, Exa
7.30 / 7.30
Thanks to its flexibility, Wunderkind is easy to expand. It actually grows with increasing traffic load, and with requirements for additional functions.
Wunderkind can expand horizontally: adding more clients is a matter of Plug’n’Play in 3 easy steps. Once connected, Wunderkind will automatically find its server in the network. When logging in, the user profile are loaded from the server. Ready to work! Eventually it may also expand vertically by adding new functions and features. The installion- and configuration updates are initiated automatically or manually, always controlled by the Administrator, locally or remotely for all clients.
Wunderkind has built-in all vital security aspects as it secures the server data against loss by server RAID storage systems or even server redundancy based on relational databases is core. Wunderkinds integral data encryption makes it virtually impossible to crack and hack and only authorized users have access to the system, by use of password, fingerprint sensor, key card etc. The Network connection between dispatcher client PC and dispatcher server can be encrypted. The dispatcher client will feature End-to-End Encryption (E2EE). This is of course dependant on the subscriber radio and other end user terminals used throughout the TETRA and connected systems, and requires individual customization.
Besides the standard PC equipment with mouse and keyboard, the client is Touch Screen Ready. The client application may be exclusively operated from touch screen. This allows easy intuitive usage by the dispatcher and access limitation to non-work related Windows applications. The client applications and all of its plug-in modules can be installed on virtually any Microsoft® Windows® PC along with any other application. As long as a connection to the server is maintained, the user can access all dispatcher functions (according to his individual profile and permissions).
Wunderkind management is done by dedicated administrator account. Access to the system is restricted by password as every user has its own profile. The user can update his profile with list sorting, window appearance, screen fonts, screen colours, sounds etc. Users are administrated by a dedicated administrator account. The administrator may operate locally at any dispatcher client PC, or remotely via Intranet, Internet (VPN) or even wireless via the TETRA network. (Other connectivity options may be added later, such as via Wimax, GSM/GPRS etc.) Software updates and plug-in modules can be deployed and installed from remote by an integrated upgrading function. The according software is stored on the server and the administrator initiates the update from his account. Software updates and modules may be automatically downloaded by the dispatcher server from the Wunderkind internet-based software update server (future). This requires Internet access for the dispatcher server. Alternatively, software can be loaded onto the server manually by any means of data transmission.
