Wunderkind
Get to know Wunderkind
TETRA is a terrestrial trunked radio system which has been system-engineered specifically for the field known as PMR (Professional Mobile Radio) where mission critical applications with high requirements in respect of the availability and reliability of the technology employed are common. This user group includes public safety organizations, the transport and traffic sectors, utilities and large industrial sites.
A dispatcher is a central point for the management system and represents a software application for the centralized administration of all data within the network. Its main function is to send and receive calls, short data messages and status messages. The dispatcher workstation is a PC or laptop on which the dispatcher software is installed.
Wunderkind is a new dispatcher whose development was initiated by T.E.S.S. FZCO. It is designed as a modular system that is upgradeable with plug-in modules as required and can be interfaced with different external systems. The user management as well as the various available interfaces make it extremely flexible.
Wunderkind is largely infrastructure independent. It uses the Application Programming Interfaces (API) of the TETRA system it shall be interconnected to. Therefore, by plain exchange of the API module Wunderkind connects to different TETRA systems.
